Like the progression of gaming in reality, the Wreck-It Ralph sequel follows a similar path. As most of the first Wreck-It Ralph movie had to deal with arcade gaming and local multiplayer, it appears its sequel will head to a more virtual, more multiplayer-related storyline, as evident by it’s title. Ralph and his companions head to the Internet in Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2.

According to a report by Deadline.com’s Anita Busch and Anthony D’Alessandro (h/t CNet.com), the sequel’s title was announced at CinemaCon in Las Vegas.

Wreck-It Ralph was received well by audience and critics alike. RottenTomatoes.com gives the 2012 film an 86 percent. The film returns stars John C. Reilly and Sarah Silverman with Jane Lynch and Jack McBrayer included. Ralph Breaks the Internet is slated for a March 9, 2018 release date.
