Orlando City to Play Inter Miami in ‘MLS is Back’ Opener

Orlando City SC will face off against Inter Miami CF in the inaugural "MLS is Back" tournament match before playing New York City FC and Nashville SC.

The stage is set for Major League Soccer to return to competitive play. On June 11, the league announced that Orlando City SC will play 2020 expansion side Inter Miami CF for the first time ever in the inaugural match of the “MLS is Back” tournament, signaling the restart of competitive play for both professional soccer and professional sports, in general, in the United States.

Furthermore, at around 3:30 p.m. on June 11, a live draw determined group assignments for each of the 26 teams. In the Eastern Conference, there are three groups: one six-team group and two four-team groups; in the Western Conference, there are three groups of four teams. Here are the results:
