The Orlando Pride hosted their first day of preseason training Monday. For Pride head coach Tom Sermanni, it went expectedly well.

“It was great. To be fair, it usually always is, the first day,” Sermanni said after training Monday. “Players come in a little bit nervous but excited, and the tempo is usually good. But I think looking and trying to make a comparison to Year 1, I think the players have come in far more ready to play, and I thought the tempo was good, and I thought the quality was good.”

On the same day, the team also released its preseason schedule. Apart from the U-23 United States women’s national team, all of Orlando’s opponents will be against in-state universities. All friendlies are closed-door matches, and their scheduled times and days are subject to change.
