That’s the ball game.

Kyle Marsh is now tied for a team-high in home runs with two with three other players (Eli Putnam, Ryan Crile, Bryce Peterson).

Entering Saturday’s game, Bryce Tucker had nine strikeouts, which is good enough for fourth-most on UCF’s staff. Eight pitchers have thrown more innings than Tucker for the Knights.

You can’t say enough about how productive Luke Hamblin has been this season so far. If he’s not hitting the ball, he’s still finding ways to get on base. UCF leads 7-4 after his two-RBI double.

Kam Gellinger is 2-for-3 with a run, an RBI and a double so far tonight.

The Knights scored four runs in the fourth and a go-ahead run in the sixth.

Still no home runs for Bryce Peterson yet…

Bryce Tucker has appeared in four games this season. He has the Knights’ only two saves of the season so far.

Rylan Thomas is 2-for-4 with an RBI and a double so far.

UCF starting pitcher Juan Pimentel has allowed four runs (two earned), five hits and two walks with three strikeouts in 6.0 innings.

It went, like, behind Matthew Mika.

On the third pitch of the fifth inning, Toby Handley sends one over the left-field wall to tie the game.

Kyle Marsh is 0-for-1 with an RBI and two walks so far this game.

Kyle Marsh has drawn two walks and is 0-for-0 so far in this game.

Luke Hamblin ties the game at 3-3.The Knights have scored three runs on three hits so far this inning.

And the hitting streak continues for Eli Putnam. He almost went yard over the center-field wall.

Kam Gellinger hit it to the same spot where Bryce Peterson homered in Friday’s 7-3 win.

Matthew Mika is on first with one out. Kam Gellinger is up to bat.

Here’s what head coach Greg Lovelady had to say about Kam Gellinger moving to shortstop in the injured Brennan Bozeman‘s absence:

“I do like a three-lineup thing during practice every day. So I want guys to play multiple positions so that in case there’s an injury or in case I gotta make some moves late in the game that guys are comfortable playing different positions.

“So Kam’s played a lot of short in practice in the fall and in the winter. He’s a really good shortstop. So I felt really comfortable knowing that we had guys prepared to play other positions, especially in the infield.”

Bryce Peterson is up to bat with two outs and runners on first and second.

Another early 3-0 deficit for the Knights. The Seawolves have three runs on three hits. UCF has two hits and an error with no runs in the bottom of the third.

Juan Pimentel stays in the game. Head coach Greg Lovelady corrected me last night. It wasn’t him who came out to visit Robby Howell on the mound last night after Howell gave up his third run on his third hit in the first; it was Parker.

The last time Stony Brook was in this situation, they executed a double steal to eliminate the double play.

Eli Putnam currently has a 10-game hit streak going. He is so far 0-for-2 tonigt.

Nope. Not yet, at least…

More home-run magic from Bryce Peterson tonight?

Stony Brook gets on the board first.

I’m not funny. I know.

UCF strands two runners at first and second, coming up empty in the bottom half of the first. Score is still 0-0.
