Keanu Reeves Would Make 4th ‘Matrix’ Movie on 1 Condition

Hint: It has to do with who leads the film.

The Matrix Revolutions, the trilogy’s finale, ends with the death of Neo (Keanu Reeves). But in the final minutes of the movie, Sati (Tanveer K. Atwal) asks the Oracle (Mary Alice), “Will we ever see him again?” Alice’s character responds, “I suspect so. Someday.”

That leaves the door wide open for the possible return of Reeves to the sci-fi phenomenon written and directed by the Wachowski Brothers. But the 52-year-old actor has one condition if he is to return, according to a report by Yahoo Movies UK’s Tom Butler.

“The Wachowskis would have to be involved,” Reeves said, per Butler’s report. “They would have to write it and direct it. And then we’d see what the story is. But, yeah, I don’t know. That’d be weird, but why not?

“People die, stories don’t. People in stories don’t.”

The trilogy made more than $1.6 billion worldwide, as The Matrix Reloaded made more than $740 million worldwide. Though, Revolutions only made the least amount of money, totaling at $427 million worldwide. Revolutionsmost poorly was also received the .

Reeves joins fellow Matrix actor Laurence Fishburne on the big screen again in John Wick: Chapter 2, which is in theaters now.
