AAC Cancels All Spring-sports Competitions, Championships

All American Athletic Conference games and tournaments have been cancelled, as the UCF Knights' spring-football game has been postponed indefinitely.

In light of the novel coronavirus pandemic, the American Athletic Conference has cancelled all spring- sports competitions and championships, the UCF Knights relayed via emial on March 16. Additionally, all spring-sports teams will no longer practice.

Prior to a full cancellation of all spring competitions, the conference initially suspended play indefinitely on March 12.

The UCF Knights’ football team, its spring game that was originally scheduled for April 4 has been postponed indefinitely.

As for the Knights’ men’s basketball team, it was about to enter AAC tournament play, as their women’s team won and subsequently lost in the first two rounds of its tournament.

UCF’s baseball team finished the season 15-3 and also topped then-No. 8 Auburn University with a weekend-series sweep. The softball team finished 21-5-1 and also boasted a 12-3-0 home record.
