Orlando City SC’s draft is complete.

The Lions finished their selections by drafting defender Scott DeVoss with the 59th-overall pick (third round) in the 2019 Major League Soccer SuperDraft, the club announced on Jan. 14.

DeVoss joins City after playing four seasons at the University of Denver. There, he started all 83 of his appearances at center back, setting Denver’s Division I record for starts. DeVoss was also named the Summit League Defensive Player of the Year in his final two seasons at Denver.

Additionally, DeVoss helped Denver to its first College Cup showing in 2016. He was also named the 2018 Summit League Tournament MVP and earned Summit League First Team honors in 2017 and 2018.

The Centennial, Colorado, native is also an offensive threat. DeVoss scored six goals in his collegiate career, scoring two game-winners. His senior class amassed a 61-12-10 record, the fifth-most wins of all Division I programs in the relevant four-year span.

Orlando City opted to pass on their final draft pick, the 96th-overall pick (fourth round) and final pick of the draft.
