Orlando City Trade Tony Rocha for Fourth-round Pick

Orlando City SC continues to load up on draft picks, as the Lions have acquired another fourth-round pick in the upcoming 2019 Major League Soccer SuperDraft.

On Dec. 12, the Lions announced they traded midfielder Tony Rocha to New York City FC for a fourth-round pick.

Ahead of signing a first-team contract with the Lions in August 2016, Rocha played primarily with Orlando City B, the club’s United Soccer League affiliate. In total, Rocha played 1,142 minutes in 23 appearances and 11 starts, tallying four assists.

The 25-year-old had his best season in 2018, starting nine of 12 appearances while tallying a career-high three assists and seven shots.

City now own six picks for the 2019 draft: No. 3, No. 27, No. 59, No. 75, No. 94 and No. 96.
