Darth Vader has been known as one of the most evil villains for almost a half-century. And now, after dominating both the big and little screens, the dark lord will appear in his own comic-book series, according to a Marvel press release.

“I’m so excited that we get to tell more stories about the best villain of all time,” series editor Jordan White said, per the release. “I was blown away by some of the stuff we plan to show in this series. I think readers will be too—from hardcore Star Wars fanatics to those who want to see more of that deadly threat from the end of Rogue One.”

Writer Charles Soule (Poe DameronAstonishing X-Men) leads the way for the new series with artist Giuseppe Camuncoli (Amazing Spider-Man).

“Charles has an evil streak in him that readers might have seen whenever he’s written Palpatine in the past,” White said. “Now, that comes front and center.”

From the construction of his red lightsaber, to the fallout of Order 66, the beginnings of the Inquisitor program and the rise of the Galactic Empire, the new Darth Vader series will take readers through some of Star Wars’ lesser-known details.

Darth Vader No. 1 hits stores in June.
