Orlando City SC has made a lot of changes in its senior-team roster and in the front office as well. On Friday, though, the club announced that three players from last year’s roster will return.
According to a press release by the club, City has signed midfielder Servando Carrasco to a new two-year deal, defender Kevin Alston to a one-year deal and defender Seb Hines to a three-year deal.
“Servando, Kevin and Seb provided to be important assets for our team last year, and we are excited to keep them,” Lions general manager Niki Budalic said, per the release.
Carrasco has started 31 of his 43 appearances for City. In his two years with the Lions so far, he has recorded four assists. The 28-year-old has started all but one game under second-year Orlando City head coach Jason Kreis.
After playing his first seven seasons with the New England Revolution, Alston found his way into the starting lineup for the Lions in the latter end of the 2016 Major League Soccer season. He made started in 21 games in 2016.
As for Hines, he has recorded 44 starts in 49 matches. The 28-year-old is the highest scoring defender for the Lions, tallying four goals in two seasons.
