Orlando City SC looks to bolster its roster with its most recent signing. According to a club press release on Friday, Orlando City agreed to a four-year deal with on-loan defender José Aja.
The Uruguayan was on a six-month loan from Uruguayan club Racing Club de Montevideo. He made nine starts in 10 games, including three 90-minute outings. The 23-year-old also contributed to three clean sheets at Colorado, Toronto and Philadelphia.
“We are excited to keep José in Orlando,” City general manager Niki Budalic said. “He proved to be a great player and strong asset for our team in a short period of time. We look forward to his continued contributions in 2017.”
