Orlando City SC’s roster continues to change, as the team enters its third week of preseason.

On Wednesday, the Lions announced they waived defender R.J. Allen. The 28-year-old made 18 appearances and 10 starts for 966 minutes for Orlando City in 2018. Allen tallied two assists and three shot attempts.

Allen came to Central Florida from New York City FC, former Lions Head Coach Jason Kreis’ former side, in December 2017. He played three seasons in the Big Apple, appearing in 53 games and starting 42 of them for 3,814 minutes. Allen recorded a goal and 11 assists from 2015 to 2017.
