Orlando City SC has made another draft-related move, but it’s for the 2020 Major League Soccer SuperDraft.
On Jan. 10, the club announced it acquired a natural second-round pick for the 2020 draft from Minnesota United FC. Additionally, the Lions also acquire the No. 4 waiver priority during the next waiver-claiming period.
In return, City give up two fourth-round picks in the upcoming draft and the No. 1 waiver priority during the next waiver-claiming period.
City now have five picks in the 2019 MLS SuperDraft: No. 3, No. 27, No. 38, No. 59 and No. 96. The draft will be held at McCormick Place in Chicago, Illinois, on Friday.
