Orlando City SC and the Vancouver Whitecaps have struck a deal, sending former Lions left back Victor “PC” Giro to the Canadian side in exchange for a natural third-round pick in the 2019 Major League Soccer SuperDraft, City announced on Dec. 9.

For most of his time in Orlando, PC was a mainstay in the club’s United Soccer League side, Orlando City B. He also recorded 854 first-team minutes in 16 appearances and 10 starts, tallying one assist in 2017.

PC appeared in former Lions Head Coach Jason Kreis’ starting lineup to open the 2018 season but was promptly sent off with a red card after 41 minutes. In the latter half of July 2018 and early part of August 2018, the 24-year-old started four of five matches, playing 90 minutes in three of them.

The 2019 draft will be held on Jan. 11 in Chicago, Illinois, at McCormick Place. Orlando City hold the third-overall, 27th-overall and 59th-overall picks, as new expansion side FC Cincinnati will select first overall.
