Jack Sparrow has faced his fair share of trials throughout the Pirates of the Caribbean movies. In Dead Men Tell No Tales, he will face his last, as the movie series will come to an end after the fifth installation hits theaters.
Johnny Depp is featured in Dead Men Tell No Tales‘ latest trailer, as the plot is slowly revealed. Captain Salazar, a former Spanish captain who viciously hunted pirates, was thwarted by a young Sparrow and returns from the dead intent on exacting his revenge.
In addition to Depp, both Geoffrey Rush and Orlando Bloom return to play their respective roles. Rush has played Captain Hector Barbossa throughout the series, and Bloom has played as Sparrow’s occasionally conflicting partner, Will Turner.
Dead Men Tell No Tales, starring Depp, Bloom, Rush, Javier Bardem as Salazar and Kaya Scodelario as the female lead Carina Smyth, is slated for a May 26 release date.
