NASA recently discovered seven Earth-like planets about 39 light years away. But if planetary colonization is anything like what the latest Alien: Covenant trailer shows, humans will probably want to stay on their home planet.

Everything appears to be going according to plan on a new planet where a group of human colonizers are free to walk the surface without any sort of apparatus and even find wheat. That all changes at about the 50-second mark when one colonizer asks, “You hear that?” Curious, one colonizer responds, “What?” to which he gets a very ominous response: “Nothing. No birds. No animals. Nothing.”

The Ridley Scott-directed film appears to be every bit thrilling as it is horrifying. What stands out in the latest trailer are the special effects that add to the film’s realism, making it that much more frightening.

Alien: Covenant stars Michael Fassbender, Katherine Waterston, James Franco and Danny McBride. It is set to hit theaters on May 19.
