Orlando City SC added an additional goalie in Friday’s 2016 MLS Re-Entry Draft. The club announced via press release it selected Patrick McLain in Stage One of the draft.
McLain played for the Chicago Fire as a backup goalkeeper to Sean Johnson last season. He also played for the club’s United Soccer League affiliate, Saint Louis FC. The 28-year-old played for 2014 USL champion Sacramento Republic FC in 2015. There, he notched 71 saves in 29 matches. Before that, he made 15 appearances with the Orange County Blues in 2014.
