Orlando City SC made its second trade of the offseason with Atlanta United FC on Tuesday. According to a press release, the Lions acquired defender Donny Toia in exchange for the club’s natural first-round pick in the 2017 MLS SuperDraft.

Toia was taken by Atlanta with the first-overall pick in the 2016 MLS Expansion Draft. Orlando City’s Mikey Ambrose was also selected by Atlanta in the expansion draft.

“We are happy to acquire Donny,” assistant general manager Niki Budalic said, per the release. “He’s an athletic fullback with MLS experience that will fit into Jason [Kreis’] style.”

The 25-year-old spent his previous two seasons with the Montreal Impact. In those two seasons, he made 44 starts in 48 regular-season matches, recording a goal and two assists.

Ambrose made four starts in five MLS appearances for Orlando City after signing an MLS contract on Aug. 4. The 23-year-old signed with Orlando City B before the start of the team’s first United Soccer League season in 2016.
